I am currently a Customer Success Team Member at Coursestorm in Orono, Maine.
I enjoy working for a start-up company because it feels like everything I do is contributing to the bigger picture, rather than just being another employee at a large corporation. I enjoy the creative problem solving that comes along with working at a company like this. Work stays interesting when there isn't always a direct set of steps to follow or script to read off.
When the opportunity that has presented itself to work at CourseStorm, I thought it would be best for me to stay here. On top of that I really enjoy Maine, and my family is all here. Also as a FocusMaine intern last summer, I feel somewhat compelled to contribute to the goals of the club; keeping people in Maine.
I got here through networking via on-campus clubs, specifically the American Marketing Association. The on campus involvement was crucial to me getting to where I am today, and I would most definitely not be here if not for my participation.
