Live and Work in Maine / Educate Maine Fall Intern

Live and Work in Maine is a private sector initiative created to help Maine employers attract and retain the people they need to thrive. Maine's key competitive advantage is our quality of life - whether it's world-class outdoor activities (from beaches to ski mountains...) or a "top-of-the-lists" urban center in Portland - Maine has a lot to offer. Our mission is to connect people who are attracted to Maine's quality of life with one of the thousands of open jobs at Maine employers. We do this by marketing our state to talented people who could live and work here full time, and by providing online resources for Maine employers to leverage in their recruiting efforts. Wannabe Mainers can engage with us by using our job board to explore career opportunities, browsing our resource website to learn more about Maine’s regions and quality of life, and by putting a Live + Work in Maine sticker on their laptop or car bumper to show the world that those of us who live here, love it here.

Educate Maine is a business-led non-profit advocacy organization based in Portland. We champion college and career readiness for all Maine people, enabling all students to succeed in postsecondary education and the workplace. Our goal is to increase the number of people in Maine with a postsecondary certificate, professional credential, or college degree - specifically reaching 60% by 2025. We partner with educators and businesses to promote education policies and practices that lead to career readiness. Additionally, Project>Login, a program of Educate Maine, is the state’s leading resource for anyone interested in the computing/IT field. We bring together employers and students to grow an interest in and awareness of careers in the tech field in Maine.
