Description
Tyler Technologies is seeking two full-time interns to join Tyler’s events marketing team in our Plano, TX, Yarmouth, ME offices, or remote. Conferences and other events are high-visibility venues that leave a lasting and positive impression on Tyler’s client base. They provide clients with vital educational and networking opportunities. The Events Intern will play an integral role in ensuring that these events function without incident.
The Events Intern will learn the basics of conference logistics and marketing, as well as gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment. The internship will be approximately 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule during normal work hours (8-5 M-F). This internship is expected to run from September 12, 2022 through May 31, 2023.
Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate with Tyler clients and staff via email and phone regarding all aspects of the conferences including registrations, schedule changes, payments, misc. questions
- Ensure that data within the conference registration software is complete, up to date, and accurate
- Assist the Events team in generating various reports
- Update and maintain a centralized Events Calendar
- Travel with and assist the Events team with conference tasks
- Assist with logistics for secondary events, including special seminars, internal meetings, regional trainings, and incentive trips
Qualifications
- Must be a current student for a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, marketing, business administration, or a related field
- Organized with keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a periodic basis
