CSforLPS and Project>Login will host FREE two-day K-12 computer science pathway workshop

September 04, 2019 · For Maine school districts

Project>Login has partnered with CSforLPS to offer a FREE two-day planning workshop for Maine school districts.

Computer science education is growing throughout Maine. Teachers are attending high-quality professional development, debuting new computer science classes and integrating computer science into existing classes...however, students do not have a clear, articulate pathway for computer science to follow as they progress within the district.
This free two-day workshop will help support districts as they design an individualized K-12 curriculum pathway through a common protocol used with states across the U.S.

Prior experience or implementation of computer science courses is not required.

The workshop is designed for districts to bring teams of 4-6 participants. Mandatory attendance required from at least:
(1) District Leader
(1) School Leader
(1) Teacher
It is strongly suggested districts also invite at least:
(1) Guidance Counselor
(1) Librarian
