Program Director Selected for Code.org Regional Partner Advisory Committee

May 22, 2017

Project>Login Program Director, Jason Judd, has been selected as one of the eight founding members of the Code.org Regional Partner Advisory Committee. The purpose of the Code.org Regional Partner Advisory Committee is to provide guidance and feedback on Code.org programs, tools, and processes. Input will be used to inform change and develop new program features to expand regional partners across the United States. Currently, there are 40 Code.org regional partners across the United States working collaboratively to expand computer science to all students in K-12 schools.

Educate Maine (through Project>Login’s program) and Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance (MMSA) launched the Maine Code.org Regional Partnership in January 2017. This collaboration supports 80 middle and high school teachers to be trained in computer science over the next two years, helping to expand computer science education to dozens of Maine schools through quality teacher professional development and engaging curriculum. Through a variety of corporate, higher education, and philanthropic supporters, the goal is to continue to expand these offerings well beyond the next two years.
