I have a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Maine.
I work at Waylay as their Global Communications Manager.
I enjoy having a creative outlet in my work as a content marketing manager. I also enjoy the improved work-life balance over my previous career as a teacher as I currently work remotely.
I'm an only child with aging parents who are also cancer survivors. I want to remain close enough to provide the care they need as they get older. I currently live 4 hours from them which provides me enough distance to have my own life while still being able to be there if needed.
In early 2020, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I left teaching to care for her during her treatment. Then, COVID hit. I knew I didn't want to go back to teaching during the pandemic so looked into other options. I found a role at Digitunity for some time. I do have previous experience teaching web design, social media, and technology as an AmeriCorps member that translated well into what I was doing. I'm now the global communications manager for Waylay. We're a company based in Belgium, but I still get to work remotely. We offer advanced automation and analytics software for industrial IoT applications. You can learn more about us at waylay.io.
